The detachable stretcher can be used as a field stretcher for recovering casualties where normal stretchers cannot reach thanks to the telescopic handles that provide a secure grip and facilitate patient lifting. The Cross Up 8409 can accommodate a spine board between stretcher and trolley to save space on the emergency vehicle.

Telescopic handles make it easier for rescue workers to transport and lift the detachable trolley.

The board of CROSS-UP 8409 can assume the Trendelenburg or Reverse Trendelenburg positions to help patients affected by poor circulation or other symptoms. Some models can be also locked in the Fowler's position.
